Frequently Asked Questions

How much will shipping cost?

Use the GetStamps.cc shipping calculator to estimate USPS postage using your ZIP codes, package weight and dimensions. Compare Ground Advantage and Priority Mail without signing in. These are GetStamps.cc estimates; your final rate is confirmed at checkout.

How is a label purchased?

When checkout succeeds, Shippo purchases the selected carrier service and returns the label and tracking details shown in your account. The carrier depends on the selected service and its availability; not every label is a USPS label. A failed or pending checkout is not confirmation that carrier postage was purchased.

Why are the rates cheaper?

Shippo returns available carrier rates for your shipment. The buyer price shown at checkout can reflect a discount or applicable charge, so it may differ from the carrier's underlying charge. The platform is free; the wallet is charged the buyer price shown before purchase.

Where do tracking updates come from?

Tracking is requested through Shippo for the carrier associated with a purchased label. Updates can be delayed, differ from the carrier's direct tracking page, or be unavailable. Use the carrier and tracking number shown for that label; USPS.com applies only when the label's carrier is USPS.

What if a label purchase fails?

We attempt to reverse the label charge in the wallet ledger. When that reversal is confirmed, the amount is credited back to your wallet balance; if no wallet charge was recorded, no reversal is needed. This is not a refund to the original card or crypto payment used to fund your wallet. If the reversal cannot be confirmed, contact support before trying the shipment again.

Can I request a void for an unused label?

An unused label may be eligible for a void request within the carrier's window. Eligibility and approval are required. When an approved void and the carrier reversal are confirmed, the original label charge is credited to your wallet ledger and balance, not the original card or crypto funding method. A label already scanned or used by the carrier is generally not eligible.

What happens if a carrier adjusts my shipment?

A carrier can apply a later adjustment when its measured weight or dimensions differ from the shipment details. Verified Shippo adjustments may debit your wallet and trigger an account notification; if the debit makes your balance negative, later label purchases can be paused. Contact support if you need an adjustment reviewed. Accurate package details help, but cannot guarantee that a carrier adjustment will not occur.

What happens to unused account balance?

Your wallet balance is an account ledger. Confirmed label-purchase reversals and approved voids credit that wallet rather than the original funding method. For unused funds or account closure, contact support and review our Terms of Service.
